Recipe: Chocolate Lovers’ Cake


 The most decedent, rich, silky, moist, chocolaty chocolate cake on the face of the planet.  And it all starts with a box mix!!  Anyone can make this, I promise.  It’s insanely delicious and so pretty, it’s perfect for entertaining since it comes together so simply.  And the reviews will be raved!  If you like chocolate, you will LOVE this little dish!

  1. 1 package devil's food cake mix
  2. 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  3. 2 cups sour cream
  4. 1 cup melted butter
  5. 5 eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon almond extract
  7. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Chocolate sauce
  1. 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  2. 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  3. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Grease and flour a 10 inch bundt pan.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix.
  4. Make a well in the center and pour in sour cream, melted butter, eggs and almond extract.
  5. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl and beat 4 minutes on medium speed.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 50-55 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a cake plate and frost according to directions below.
To frost
  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat on low, stirring continuously until all the chocolate is melted and incorporated. It will be thick.
  2. Pour sauce into a gallon freezer ziplock bag and push it all into one of the corners. Cut the tip off the corner of the bag and pipe the sauce over the bundt cake.
