You’d think you couldn’t really mess up a chocolate chip cookie, but there are definitely ones that are better, and then there’s the one that’s the best.  That’s these.  I’ve never found a better chocolate chip cookie recipe.  And let’s just say that I’ve been around the cookie block once or twice.

  1. 1.5 cup sugar
  2. 2 cups brown sugar
  3. 1 lb. real butter
  4. 3 eggs
  5. 2 tablespoons vanilla
  6. 1.5 tsp baking soda
  7. 1.5 tsp salt
  8. 6 cups flour
  9. 1 large package milk chocolate chips
  10. (for 1/3 the recipe, see comments)
  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a separate bowl and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl or countertop mixer, cream together sugars, butter, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add the dry mixture and incorporate fully.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes* (DO NOT OVER BAKE!)

  1. 1/2 cup sugar
  2. 1/3 cup brown sugar
  3. 1 1/4 stick butter
  4. 1 egg
  5. 2 teaspoons vanilla
  6. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  8. 2 cups flour
  9. 1/3 package chocolate chips
  10. *I've found that the trick to gooey chocolate chip cookies is to slightly under-bake them by about 30 seconds or so!

    Hey Jessi,

    Can you share how many grams are in the package of chocolate chips that you use? I just want to be sure that I get the right size.

      You bet! The bag I used was 326g, but really you just put in however much you like:) For a third of the recipe I usually put in about 1/2 a bag of chocolate chips. Hope you like them!
