Our local library hosted a Teddy Bear Picnic the other day and it was only magical for James and Charlie. It was complete with stories, songs, bubbles and parachutes. And of course, the kids all brought their most cherished stuffies along for the ride.
I can’t begin to describe how desperately in love we have fallen with our library. We go usually once a week at least. There are story and song times for kids of all ages, arts and crafts, lego nights (we have to get to that one!), movie nights…oh, my goodness, they have everything you could want for a family fun time. And it’s all free!
James has really gotten into reading with me. We read a few chapters from our chapter book each night. I never loved reading when I was a kid, much to the chagrin of my father. But now I feel like my reading world is coming to life through my kiddos. It’s never too late to start to love reading, I guess! It’s fun to dive into new worlds with James and see his imagination go wild.
My advice: Hit up your local library with your babes!!
