A portrait of each of our children (and sometimes us, too), each week of the year 2014

James has been extra gooey loving lately and it’s only the most amazing thing in the world.  Here are a few things he’s said to me recently:

“Mom, I like your smile.”

“Mom, you are my best friend.”

“….(insert ‘I love you’ in sign language here)…”

“Mom, I love you more than Batman, more than Jamba Juice, and more than milk.”

Charlie turned nine months!  He’s pretty small for his age and hasn’t quite hit some milestones yet but I cannot imagine a more perfect baby for me.  He cuddles!  Oh, how he cuddles!  And he giggles and squeals and sings, but you all know that because I talk about it every week.  This morning I woke up early to get Charlie and put him in my bed next to John with a bottle while I jumped in the shower.  John told me that Charlie started wiggling and gabbing and sorta kicking his back and it woke him up and when he turned around to greet Charlie, Charlie was ready with the biggest squinty-eyed grin just waiting for Dad to turn around and pay attention to him.  He knows how to make people feel rillll great.  He is just so excited about people in general, but he’ll also make you feel like there is no one in the world like you.  And I’m pretty convinced there is no one in the world like him.

Here are John’s and my first portraits in this series!  John told me to pose like that, and then I look one of him getting ready to chase James.  John is so playful and kind.  Often times he will not let me pass him without kissing him first, it’s this little game he likes to play with me.  I don’t mind it, let me tell ya.  I feel so blessed to have a husband who treats me like a woman and openly shows love and affection to me.  It’s all of my dreams come true.
