March is for birthdays.

Last month we celebrated my niece Bree’s birthday, my dad’s birthday, my brother-in-law Tanner’s birthday, my sister-in-law Libby’s birthday, and my brother-in-law James’ birthday.  Needless to say, there was a lot of love flowing!  And lots of yummy food eaten!!
John’s brother James would have been 25 years old.  John always has a hard time around James’ birthday.  His heart is heavy and he gets deeply reflective.  Our James is named after him and we want to make sure he feels like his uncle is watching over him, and that he knows him, so we talk of him often and openly and with so much gratitude and love and joy, even though our hearts will always have a piece broken off.  We took the boys to James’ grave on Sunday to wish him a happy birthday and captured a few shots.
