A portrait of each of our children, each week of the year 2014.
James has turned into a little tyrant lately.  He’s relentlessly sassy, bossy, disobedient, and has started spitting and hissing at people who make him mad (I think we got rid of nap time a little prematurely…).  So we’ve introduced some new consequences and the mommy victories when he obeys and makes good choices are that much sweeter.  Today started out very frustrating, but by the end of the day he had become my little angel once again.  It’s amazing to see his brain work and to understand his heart a little more as he weighs the consequences for the choices he makes.  Note to self: James responds better to my nice voice than my angry voice when I’m trying to correct him!
Charlie is only getting smilier.  He brings complete joy into every room he enters!  He’s been sleeping so poorly at night the past few weeks, but it is starting to get back to normal again.  He coos and sings and giggles whenever he is awake, which is still cute at 3:30 in the morning.  Not gonna lie, though.  If he decided to forgo the middle-of-the-night gabbing, I would be alright with that.  His hair is coming in as blond as can be and is fuzzy like a little chick right now.  It’s only heavenly.
