Every summer John’s work treats its employees and their loved ones to a free day at the local amusement park, Lagoon. This was the first year we brought James and we were in heaven watching him bounce from one ride to another, especially once he decided that the rides were fun and not scary. It only took a couple rides of us forcing him to ride them in spite of his tears and screams for him to realize rides are totally awesome. It’s called tough love, peeps, and it’s for his own good. I spent a lot of time sitting in the shade and (obviously) taking pictures while John stood in line with Jameser. It was hot but I wasn’t miserable the whole time! Highlights of the day were when Jameser yelled out “I’M BRAVE!” as he was riding Bulgy the Whale, and then yelling “I’M SAFE!” when the ride was over. Needless to say, we spent most of the day cracking up at the kid.
