Full term

37 weeks–Full Term!!

We are officially full term!!  This baby could come at any time now, even though I’m banking on him coming a week late and me having to be induced… That would just be my luck.  But I’ll take it.  Even that would only be 4 weeks away, which really isn’t long at all {although it seems like an eternity looking forward}.
My sister told me the other day that it seems like I’ve been pregnant 10 times longer than she was {maybe because I’ve been much more vocal about my discomfort than she was?}.  I’d say that’s about right.  Her pregnancy flew by!  I must say, though, that looking back, it’s incredible that we are already here.  Nine months is such a long time, but we’re really here and will soon have a lil’ blob of cute to cuddle.  I’m tempted to say it’s gone fast, but I know JW would disagree {bless his husband-to-a-preggersaurus heart}.  It has been just as hard on him as it has been on me, because he is so tender hearted and has hated seeing me so uncomfortable and sick {and I’ve been known to be ornery with him for unexplainable reasons….}.  Needless to say, we are both over-the-moon excited for the coming weeks and to meet our son!
Pregnancy update:
-perfect doctor’s reports–he’s doing great!
-had my first few baby showers!!  They were so special to me…
-green beans
-tons of ice water
-lil’ bit o depression here and there, but we’re good
-I have to have my legs shaved smooth every day or I go mental
-had an awesome prenatal massage
-loving pedicures, thanks to a pedicure scholarship my daddy provided
-major swelling of the ankles, feet, and hands
-daily foot rubs from the mister
-living in skirts
-total switch to all paper goods, and loving it
-tossing and turning all night long
-nursery {corner} is practically ready!  Clothes are washed and put away
-hospital bag and thank you gifts for the nurses are ready to go
-itchy arm pits…
-really bad heart burn and consti….
-I threw my jaw out from throwing up so violently at one of my baby showers—that was three weeks ago and my jaw is still killing me.
-obsessed with deep cleaning
-stopped doing my hair, but not letting myself go completely {for John’s sake}
I was put on bed rest for a few weeks {33-36} because I was having really severe Braxton Hicks and was starting to dilate a little, but I went back to work at 36 weeks since they wouldn’t stop a labor after that point.  It’s been great to have something to do to kill the time now that I’m back, even though I’ve cut way down on the hours I’m working.  I have to say, too, that my workplace has been so awesome with my pregnancy.  They really have gone out of their way to accommodate me and help me not feel like I’m inconveniencing anyone.  I really appreciate them so much.  I’m very blessed.

John is taking summer classes and it turns out he as two major exams the week we’re due, hahaha!  To say he’ll be stressed that week is an understatement, eh?  So, Biscuit, feel free to come even a week early.  Your popsie would be much obliged.

I guess I like red nail polish…

I LOVE your updates. And can’t wait for James in person to be a part of them! And to me it seems like your pregnancy has gone pretty fast.
