In for repairs…

I guess everyone has to have their funny story leading up to their wedding. Here’s ours…

About a week before the wedding I woke up in the middle of the night sicker than I’ve ever been in my life. I was getting dehydrated fast and passed out on the bathroom floor. I had called JW in tears and agony before I passed out and he came over to my house in the middle of the night and found me. He gave me a beautiful blessing and took me to the ER, where I was admitted to the hospital and ended up staying from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. The doctors never could figure out what was wrong with me. They thought it was appendicitis for a while but ended up concluding it must have just been food poisoning. Or wuss-initis But it touched me deeply that JW stayed with me the whole time I was at the hospital, and my love for him grew even more. He did leave me for a few hours to go to a wedding shower my girlfriends had planned for me, though, but returned quickly. He’s such a good sport! I am madly in love with him.

I was sick for the majority of that week before the wedding, but was better for the festivities. However, the day before our wedding was a wee bit stressful, but just turned into a joke. I had tons of errands to run and got started pretty early in the morning to make sure I could get to everything. As I was driving to my first errand I got a flat tire, which was extremely frustrating, considering all I had to do. I did not have time to worry about that. I called JW, very flustered, and told him of my situation. He eagerly suggested he meet up with me to trade cars so that I could continue my errands while he took my car in for repairs. He came to my rescue and I was off once again. Well, I was driving for about two minutes when I acquired ANOTHER flat tire, this time on JW’s car!! You’d think it would fluster me even more, but instead it was hilarious to me. John thought it was too. The timing of it all added to the humor. It was the day before our wedding! Luckily we were able to trade cars again and we got all of our errands done.

And we laughed about it all day long.

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe you got two flat tires with diff cars in one day! I think someone was trying to stop you from getting everything you needed to done! That will be a funny story to tell the kids though. You guys are cute! 🙂
